The Highways Jammed With Broken Heroes On a Last Chance Power Drive

First of all, Happy Valentines Day!

I've been staying at Niall's since Friday and its been fun. Me and my Dad got the train from Carlisle to Newcastle, then Newcastle to Doncaster, then Doncaster to Gainsbourough. It was a long and complicated journey but we made it eventually. I love trains, the way you don't have to worry about anything once you're on the right train. I could sit with my mp3 player belting out 30 Seconds to Mars and read my Kerrang ! Magazine in complete bliss.

Saturday - yesterday - we went into Lincoln to do some shopping (as Ni got a bonus of £100 from his college for getting good grades and goo attendance!) and it was fun. We met up with my friend Aaron, who I havent seen since April last year and who is an absolute legend. He's about 6''3' and loud :L. We went to Primark and I got SHOES!! To keep in with myy 1950's theme of dress. We also met up with Niall's friends La Toya and Tom (Tom is like 6''8'!) and went for lunch with them - it was proper grown up and amazing! We walked past a student protest and Aaron made fun of it - was so funny!! when we got back to Niall's we bought ben & jerry's from Tesco because I've never had some (it's not really anything special to be perfectly honest) and watched Childs Play. Niall bought me a dress with his bonus money, much to my argument. Today we're at Niall's dad's house. We've just been out for Lunch and then ten pin bowling - I beat Niall!!! And I keep rubbing it in :L Now we're sat in the dining room while Niall gets his brother past a certain point in the xBox Avatar game.

So Charli and I are friends again. All I was really waiting for was an apology – which she never gives out – and she finally apologised so it’s all good. She’s changed a bit – got more rebellious and much more grown up. It seems we’ve moved on into the next chapter in our lives, especially when it comes to boys. Before it was just girly talk about who fancies who and celebrities who are fit. Now we both have boyfriends and the talk gets gritty and deep. I’m not quite ready to forgive her fully and trust her wholly yet, but I’ll get there. Niall hates her guts, but I can live with that.



On a brighter note, I’ve lost 4 pounds and still counting whilst eating mostly vegetables and fruit. Long may it last!

I would just like to give a special shout out to my friend Marilyn. I haven't been friends with her very long, only about an hour before I had to leave, but we formed a strong bond. Here is a picture of her... Yes. Marilyn is a Robin. And she was named Marilyn (after Marilyn Monroe, NOT Marilyn Manson (who is named after Marilyn Monroe.. haha) because I promised her she would be a star. She hasn't had much feedback on my DeviantART so I decided to post her here. Give her some love people!!

You've Got A Nerve Giving Me The Cold Shoulder, Giving Me The Twice Overs, It's Not Deserved

A wise man once said: “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
And another not so wise man said: "Friendship is not capable of ending, for if it ends it's only because it never existed."

I agree with both these quotes, they both mean something to me. So you know my 'friends'? They kinda ditched me.. for good this time. Well, we sorta ditched each other. Once again they accused me of not caring about them, when all I do is care about them. And then one of them had a go at me for accusing the other of smoking, when I don't have a go at Niall for smoking. Niall doesn't smoke anymore and he hardly used to... which pissed me off no end because they were trying to turn me against Niall. So we didn't talk for a few days, and then when we did one of the mates - the accuser - said 'So when are you going to apologise then?' I hadn't really done anything so we had a huge argument and I finally told her all I've wanted to tell her over the past few months. We haven't spoken since, and to be honest I couldn't care less. I feel so much better without her weighing me down. I realise now she was the reason for my feeling horrible all the time. I can finally breathe freely. My other friend then came online and asked me to choose between Niall and her... which is such a cruel thing to do!!! I chose Niall, but that's only because I know he'd never hurt me the way she has in the past.
And sure, now I only have three friends... but I also have Niall. He's all I'll need....
Tess and Thommie are amazing, Tess has been really supportive and I now see she's my true bff :) ... though Niall is my best friend forever :G

Now She's Got A Boyfriend, And I've Got A Rock Band

Heya! So my new band - Slow This Dance Down - is going to start officially preparing for recording soon! I will post a link to any band pages (i.e myspace, bebo, facebook) that I will be no doubt creating pretty soon.

The reason for this decision is that I cannot keep updating both blog and official lyric page, on top of band stuff and of course my school work aswell. I don't have the mental capacity :)

So Don't Cry Darling, I'll Be There In The Morning. But We Both Know The Worst Part Is Always Heading Home.

I went to stay with Niall on Thursday. That was a fun journey... :S. There wasn't much snow as in most of the country, but a hell of a lot of ice!! The car transformed into an oversized ice skate!! Pops did a good job of handling it though :) and I got to Gainsborough eventually. After not seeing Niall for about a month you can imagine my happiness. We watched some friends whilst waiting for his parents to come home and then the New Years celebration began. We watched Jules Holland's Music thing whilst waiting for the clock to strike Midnight, and then Niall and I went outside with a pound coin and a lump of coal, hand in hand. Kissing in the rain is romantic enough.. but kissing outside in the dark with a blue moon shining up above and snow littering the ground was positively magical.
On Friday we went into Lincoln to watch Avatar 3D as a date. We got the train and - as it was New Years Day - there were only two other people in the carriage. We had a wonderfully long talk about our future. It's a girlfriends job to dream up a wedding and kids and a home... but I discovered Niall does it too and we had lots of the same ideas - HOW GOOD IS THAT! We're coming up to 9 months now and I've never been more in love with him.
Avatar was actually amazing - I thought I wouldn't like it because it's not really my kinda' thing... but it was genuinely brilliant ESPECIALLY in 3D.
After that we went back to Niall's and watched the Blair Witch Project and The Mist. (The Mist is depressing.. I don't recommend it for children lovers :S)

On Saturday we went back into Lincoln to meet up with my best friend. I haven't seen her since July so this was cool. Niall and her don't really get on ... but they put on a brave face for me and I was touched by this. I bought shoes!!
I met Niall's grandma on Saturday night. His family seem to like me a lot - which I guess is a good thing, right? We watched Final Destination that night too.

On Sunday Niall's dad and stepmum took us out for dinner which was nice, then we went back to Andy's house and played trivial persuit. Niall won and I got NO cheese!! They have an extremely tame dog who liked me a lot :)

I came home on Monday... sad times (N). We got longer together though because Dad got stuck halfway with the snow!! :L

Was a fun weekend.

Roll on February is all I can say.

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Having Not Blogged For Two Whole Months, I Think I Need To...

... Debatable, but still an enjoyable time. Usually I don't get that excited about Christmas, not since I stopped believing in Jolly Old Saint Nick.... but this year for some reason I felt more like a kid. On Christmas Eve we did the American thing and had our Christmas dinner in the evening - a chance to dress up, be goofy and act crazy (not that I need an excuse for that... :L ) . I had been at my best friends birthday party Wednesday night and Thursday morning, so effectively I got home and got changed and then set up the Christmas table. My Mum has an obsession with this gorgeous china called 'Portmarion' and they do a Christmas Story set, which my Mum religiously spent the year collecting. I set the Christmas Table each year, as I can't cook and I have an OCD eye for detail and symmetry. I also have a very Monica (from FRIENDS) type attitude to partys, which this was effectively. I went and got changed into one of my Hell Bunny dresses, which I got in the summer because I hate skirts. I even spent half an hour curling my hair.. which definitely marked a special occasion because I hate using appliances on my hair as it kills it.

The dinner was amazing, well done Mum.

Christmas Day, my alarm went off at half 6 because I knew my younger brother would be awake and waiting, and as a rule we're not allowed to go downstairs without my parents. I went upstairs (my room is on the ground floor) and joined my parents and brother in their bed, and then we sat on the stairs while people went to the loo ... I felt like a kid again.. don't you just love that early morning Christmas feeling??
We went downstairs and as tradition stands, Santa had filled my Pooh bear stocking with gifts and D's huge snowman sack was overflowing. I open mine slowly, savouring them as I unwrap them, but D (my brother) rips all his open at once, then looks at them later. I got a huge make up set and over 20 official make up brushes (I want to be a make up artist in the future) ... I also got pyjamas (I lack proper pyjamas and sleep in t shirts) and tartan skinnies. Harry Potter 6 on dvd, Dorian Gray on dvd, a Japanese graphic novel, which is Gothic and my kinda thing, Manga style. From my parents I got John Barrowmans new autobiography and Alice in Wonderland collectors edition... and lots of candy canes. From Niall I got a Skelanimal toy, which I didn't put down for the entire day.

I love Christmas day, not for the presents, but for the atmosphere and spending it with loved ones.
